Despite the fact that Britney Spears‘s manager Adam Leber denied the imminent release of new music from Britney Spears, a rumor started going around last week that claimed Britney would be releasing a new single called It’s A Secret in the coming weeks. Today we have concete proof that a new single from our dear Britney exists … and it was written by The Neptunes!
This screencap comes from the official BMI music publishing site that lists the title of this new Britney Spears song, written by Charles Edward Hugo and Pharrell L. Williams, as The Big Secret. This is undeniable proof that the song exists … the fact that it is titled The Big Secret which is very similar to It’s A Secret gives great credence to the rumor we heard last week. Whether or not the song will be released is anyone’s guess but … I now have very high hopes :)
Additionally, despite the fact that Jane Lynch has confirmed that Britney Spears will NOT be appearing in the episode of Glee devoted to her music, Glee creator Ryan Murphy says otherwise and confirms to Ryan Seacrest that Britney WILL appear on Glee. ‘Glee’ and Britney Spears fans alike have been counting down the seconds until the show’s homage to the legendary pop star airs this fall, and now it seems there’s even more reason to celebrate. According to Ryan Seacrest, ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that Britney herself will be appearing on the show. “Britney, I think 100 percent, is going to be on the episode [for a] couple of scenes,” Murphy revealed to Seacrest in a radio interview Tuesday. Murphy also divulged that many of the Britney Spears numbers the cast will perform will actually be hallucinations while under anesthesia at the dentist, played by John Stamos. “They have fantasies of how they can be like her,” Murphy said. Still no word on how large or what kind of role Britney will be playing but at least one duet is certainly in order. Perhaps Brit will play a rival cheerleading coach to shake up Sue Silvester’s world? We can only hope. Also in the cards for the successful show? Tribute episodes to Prince, The Beatles and Michael Jackson. Epic!
WOOOOOT! Is this not the best news ever? First her new song is CONFIRMED and then we learn that she WILL APPEAR on Glee … what more could we ask for? I am so freakin’ happy … couldn’t you just die?
